Who are the farmers who blog and move me the most? I wanted to do a top 10 list but there are too many good ones so I went over just a little bit. I keep my eyes on these folks! Several of them are contributors to the Farmer Bloggers.
- Agriculture Proud — This one is a real keeper! Ryan has a great feel for agriculture and has motivated others to share their stories too! It also connects to a Facebook page.
- Chris Chinn – My girl Chris Chinn has a family farm that raises hogs in Missouri started this blog for the 2010 holidays. She’s captured some great thoughts about some of the struggles of farming but does an qually incredible job of helping explain why she wants to keep those options open for future generations.
- Common Sense Agriculture — Jeff Fowle has been blogging more often recently talking about food, his farm practices, and other things that cuts to the core of something important whether personally or for California or the nation.
- Darin’s Ramblings – When Kansas farmer Darin Grimm has a reason to write a blog post, he knocks it out of the park whether its thoughts on crops, livestock, family or social media, you’ll want to see what he has to say!
- Days of the Weeks — Ryan Weeks is putting his ideas together on a blog these days. He’s a great friend who has helped me learn more about popcorn and Kool-Aid. He’s also been great at helping us all understand his family farm.
- Dust on the Dashboard — Kansas farmer Glenn Brunkow does a great job of putting together posts that tell you what’s crossing his mind as he drives down the turnrow.
- Griggs Dakota — One of my favorite blogs cause the folks in Griggs, North Dakota grow so many different crops and share stories on all of them, as well as stories about living on the prairie on a daily basis. I LOVE ALL THE PHOTOS!
- Haley Farms — Somehow I goofed and failed to get Mike & Pam’s blog on the list right off, luckily I caught my mistake. They raise corn, soybeans, wheat and Simmental cattle. They’ve taken a lot of time helping me learn about cattle, including suffering through a million questions during my first livestock show experience.
- Martin Family Farms – Probably my favorite on-farm blog because Doug Martin does a great job of keeping small posts coming. And does a great job putting a face on agriculture.
- Minnesota Farmer – A blog I am still not sure how I found but thankful he found me or I found him. Great info from a farmer in Minnesota.
- Ray-Lin Dairy – If I had a brother who was a dairy farmer in California, I’m guessing it would be Ray. He rocks.
- Slow Money Farm – Jan Hoadley blogging about her small farm in northern Alabama. She writes about fresh foods and some great photos.
- The Dairyman’s Blog – Will Gilmer of Gilmer Dairy in Sulligent, Alabama puts together thoughts about the farm and agriculture.
- Zweber Family Farm News – Emily and Tim Zweber write about their farm and the area that it supplies fresh food & dairy to around Minneapolis.

Thanks for the inclusion JP! Has been a pleasure to get to know you the last couple years. Good luck at #140 small town!!!
