Sorry, This Will Likely Make You Jealous If You Aren’t at #AFBF10

This is going to be a really crummy video but hey, I’m having too much fun to sit here and write much!

I got to Seattle yesterday and after a little sightseeing & recharge time on the heels of the Beltwide, I have hit the ground at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention! I guess you could say I sort of eased into it.  I ran into some farmers at the Space Needle.  I’ll have to download a few pics from there too!  The friendly faces stick out in the crowd even at such a crowded tourist spot… of course so do the John Deere caps and the Virginia Tech & Vistive soybean jackets!

Since I was sightseeing with my sister and a friend from Memphis, it was also a chance to let them have an opportunity to meet some of the farm peeps.  And that we did!

Dinner tonight was with Cyndie Sirekis, long-time friend (and AFBF communications person), friend & farm broadcaster Meghan Grebner, and some tweeps I’ve been hoping to meet — namely Ray Prock and Jeff Fowle.  We also had a couple of new names and faces along for the ride — including a tweep discovery from the pork board @Bryn_Leah!

We went to the Sound to see the scenery & eat great seafood…  I’ll let Meghan and one of the waiters tell you a bit about the place… then stay tuned as Jeff decides to lend a helping hand!

Tomorrow we have a lot of media to talk to and late in the day, a chance to see a lot more tweeps!  I can hardly wait! Oh wait, there’s a call… gotta go.   (Okay… I’m going to sleep now after a lot of great conversation with some of the folks above, Mace Thornton, Mike Haley and Troy Hadrick… I guess I’m now on the second day of AFBF10?)
