This weekend I took my nephew Jake to his first big farm. Yep, this is the same nephew who learned so much about farming when we did the Flat Stanley adventures last year. He’s given me blog fodder for a long time to come, but I couldn’t wait to share a few photos at least! These were all taken as we “helped” a friend refuel a couple of tractors so they’d be ready for the coming week. I’ll put a couple of my favorites here…. then more in a slide show.

Thanks for stopping by and wondering what I am about. My passions are photography, travel and agriculture -- love spending time taking pictures on a farm far from home. Putting all those things together its understandable that differences in culture are intriguing to me…. I can spend a lot of time soaking up things. Its almost always a colorful adventure!

Oh my, that tire is HUGE!! Looks like fun though…!!
It was like great playground equipment to him (since the keys weren’t in it, I agreed to fun & games).
OMGosh – HUGE!!!!
LOL! I know right!
oh my the tire scares me LOL it’s huge!
Yep it can be intimidating unless you are an 8 year old boy with energy! LOL
Wow, never realized how huge they are. Cool shots.
Would love for you to come on over and share

Thanks! I try to build my list of sites to see each week so thanks for making me aware of you.
What a perspective! Kind of frightening too.
I think he was surprised by how big they were too but it didn’t worry him long! You can see it in his smiles!
I never knew how big those things were until now.
Takes having something you know in the photo… my nephew is 8 & the tallest kid in his class.
Wow these tires are big!
Thanks for linking up!

My god, they’re enormous!!
Awe, it looks like he had a ball. You’re an awesome Aunt. I found you on the Wordless Wednesday site – I am excited to have the opportunity to connect with you and read your blog. Hugs & Blessings
Thanks! Nice meeting you as well!
Cute nephew! It’s amazing how big farm equipment tires are – and frustrating, when they take up the whole road and I’m trying to drive around them.

Yep, those are some huge wheels! Our farm isn’t big enough to have one of those.
Neither does my brothers… that’s why my nephew found this so exciting!
That’s a huge tractor!!! Great shots. Thanks for visiting my blog!!!
An invitation to you and your readers: Send me a picture of your Christmas tree, and I will publish it! More details here
