Incredible Family Time for Thanksgiving

My mom rarely gets all four kids in one place — with the four of us living in four states, its just a lot of negotiating to get everyone, much less spouses, mom’s grandkids and her great grands in one place. But this was our big Thanksgiving and we had almost everyone there so I decided we needed to take big family photos!

I hope you can guess which one is mom – she’s the only one in her 70s and she’s in the middle of the shot. I’m to the right sitting next to her as you look at it. My brother (the oldest) is the one to the left with the long beard. My older sister is in the back to the far right (behind her husband who closely resembles Santa) and my younger sister is right in front of me.

We have a family tradition of trying hard to get a real good shot for a while and then letting our personalities show. (Get it PERSONalities? My name is Janice Person & I know SOMEONE will make the joke if I don’t! LOL!) I love the shots we got!

How nice for you and your sibiligs to be together with your Mom for Thanksgiving! Enjoy the family moments when you get them!

My Sister is in Iowa, Mom and Dad in NE, and me in SD. Never thought we would all be so far away from eachother.

I wonder… does your mom get the question my mom used to get? People would actually ask how she got all her kids to go away. LOL! Some would say it wondering how we all became independent & others seemed to imply she had run us off by being mean! I’d say it was the first!
