Happily Wearing My Beef Sillybands

If you have followed my blog, you may remember how pumped I got when I saw beef sillybands on someone’s Twitter feed. Yes I blogged about it. Well today…. I GOT MY OWN SET OF BEEF SILLYBANDS! Thanks to Brett Barham, who works with the Arkansas extension service as an Associate Professor – Breeding and Genetics & State Beef Cattle Specialist University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.

So you can see, they look just like the ones Brett had tweeted. HOWEVER, I couldn’t tell in the photo earlier that the t-bone sillyband is white & red so it looks sort of like marbling! UNBELIEVABLE!

And yes, they look good on my wrist. After putting them on, I had another surprise…. the sillyband that says ZIP actually made a “P” on my wrist. Now if I could just find a sillyband that leaves me with a “J” on my wrist to go with it!

Wouldn’t seem right to enjoy the new wrist jewelry without saying thank you to the farmers and ranchers who help produce the beef I eat so frequently. Some of them likely even paid for the program that handed out the sillybands at the Arkansas State Fair.

Some of the folks who produce our beef are blogging and can be found at:

Haha, glad you got yours! I gave a few to my boss’ boys here in Dalhart, Texas. They were amazed at the fact that they had some BEEF silly bands that no one else would have around here.
