A Fantastic Traditional English Pub Near Reading

I had one heckuva flight over to England for my vacation in December. We had lots of problems, delays for mechanical and then they thought they had it fixed. We took off and an hour or so out, we turned back for Atlanta due to mechanical issues. We were met by ambulances, fire trucks and a nearly empty terminal. That made my arrival move dramatically from late morning to the evening. My sister was there working for a few days already so she didn’t keep track of my travel woes until she left the office around 5 pm. Since we had planned for me to get in, take a nap, shower & then have a relaxing dinner with friends, I had to shift into turbo upon arrival at the hotel. I took a crazy fast shower and her friends had arrived. We headed straight out to The New Inn (which we jokingly said was a couple of hundred years old). Here are a few of the photos I snapped that night for my nearly wordless Wednesday.
